Can’t wait see Jennifer Lopez take the stage at the 2018 MTV Video Music Awards? Well, her boyfriend Alex Rodriguez is here to tide you over with a new clip teasing what viewers are in for!
On Friday, the former Yankee took to Instagram to share some videos from Brooklyn, New York, where his girlfriend and her team were diligently preparing for their performance at Monday’s awards show — where she’ll be receiving a special honor.
“Monday is going to be epic,” the three-time MVP told the camera and onlookers nearby as Lopez and an army of backup dancers warmed up behind him. “They’re all rocking their Niyama Sol [Lopez’s own brand of athletic wear]. And it’s going to be a Vanguard. A lifetime achievement award for Jennifer.”
Then, in another Instagram Story, the 43-year-old former pro athlete posted a GIF of Lopez and her dancers all performing together, hinting at a big, elaborate production in the works.

But Rodriguez didn’t stop there. He also posted a photo of himself once again standing on the edge of the rehearsal space, which he captioned, “Coach 13,” along with the flag for the Dominican Republic, nodding to his roots and his Yankee jersey number. Clearly he isn’t just proud of his girlfriend, he’s her biggest fan!

If you’re going to do Chekhov, you’ll need to enlist quite the cast. And director Michael Mayer has done just that for his adaptation of The Seagull: Four-time Academy Award nominee Annette Bening is at the lead, along with three-time Oscar nominee Saoirse Ronan and Emmy winner Elisabeth Moss for a tragic comedy about unrequited love.
In this exclusive clip, Masha the steward’s daughter (played by Moss) reveals how she will move past her feelings for Boris (Corey Stoll). “I’ve decided I am going to tear this love out of my heart. Just going to rip it out by the roots,” she says over a boozy afternoon tea, revealing her plan to marry another man.
“I think that’s overdoing it,” Boris replies.
“Is it? Loving without hope, waiting for years for something that will never come– You don’t know what I’ve been feeling,” Masha weepily tells him. “At least when I’m married I’ll have new troubles to blot out the old ones, right? Anything for a change.”

This might be the most rich person problem of all rich people problems: In filmmaker Amanda Sthers’ Madame, Toni Collette plays Anne, a wealthy American living in Paris who plans a lavish dinner party, only to have the unimaginable happen: 13 dinner guests. After disguising her maid, Maria (played by Rossy de Palma), as an enigmatic 14th guest, Maria ends up falling for another gentleman at the party, which sends Anne spiraling.
“There’s something very strange going on with Maria, trust me,” Anne interrogates her husband (Harvey Keitel) in an exclusive clip from the comedy. “She is seeing him, Bob. This morning she came late and she looked like she’d been f**king.” What ensues is a not-so-high speed chase through the streets of Paris as Anne and Bob tail their maid. The shenanigans only get more ridiculous from there, as Anne reveals why she can’t just fire Maria: “She runs the house like clockwork. It takes at least half a day to learn how to fold my skirts alone, you know? It’s a mess. It’s a total f**king mess!”

Katie Holmes will soon return to television playing an FBI agent, but first, she’s taking on a role that is basically the opposite of that. In the comedy, Dear Dictator, she stars as a suburban mom who lets a dethroned dictator (Michael Caine) crash with her family after he becomes pen pals with her daughter (Lady Bird‘s Odeya Rush).
In this exclusive clip, Holmes’ character, Darlene, laments over exes and talks gender politics with the disguised (by way of a ridiculous mustache) General Anton Vincent.
“Sometimes I wish I could be a lesbian, you know?” she says. “Like, I have spent my whole life chasing men, like they’re going to come in and fix all my problems. They’re men! I mean, think about it, there are no girl rapists or serial killers…When there’s an Amber Alert, are they ever looking for a 5′ 2″ blonde driving a VW bug? No! Because women don’t have that whole power trip deal.”

“In my dread and confusion, I reverted to the conventional wisdom that if you’re going to deliver shattering information to a loved one, it’s best to do it in a crowded place that will preempt tears, recriminations, murder attempts and so forth,” Stanley Tucci’s character studiously narrates in this exclusive clip from Submission.
Based on Francine Prose’s novel, Blue Angel, and particularly timely amid the culture of #MeToo, the drama centers on a college professor who is accused by one of his female students of being a sexual predator. That’s the shattering news he must deliver to his wife (played by Kyra Sedgwick) in the clip, though where he chooses to deliver it ends up being a not-so-crowded restaurant on a weekday evening, making for an exceptionally awkward dinner. “If I tell you something,” he asks her, “will you promise not to be mad at me no matter what?”

Here is the movie’s official synopsis:
“Ted Swenson (Tucci) is a once-acclaimed author who teaches writing at a small liberal arts college. Though his marriage to Sherrie (Sedgwick) is comfortable, he finds himself drowning in discontent — stuffy departmental dinners at which he drinks too much, smug colleagues whom he dislikes yet fears he resembles, and an endless stream of students who are as untalented as they are unteachable. But when a new pupil, Angela Argo (Addison Timlin), shows promise, Ted focuses on nurturing her career, and she appears more than willing to devote the one-on-one time required. Basking in Angela’s youth, talent, and admiration, just as she benefits from Ted’s wisdom, experience, and professional connections, it’s only a matter of time before lines are crossed and it becomes unclear whether Ted is predator or prey and Angela is victim or victimizer. SUBMISSION is a biting morality play about lust, ambition, power, and living in a world where scandal is as likely to make a reputation as destroy it.’
Submission opens in New York on March 1 and wide on March 9.

In The Boy Downstairs, Girls actress Zosia Mamet plays an aspiring novelist in Brooklyn (she’s definitely a Hannah) who inadvertently moves into the apartment above her ex-boyfriend. ET has an exclusive clip of Mamet’s character recalling a particularly awful game of truth or dare from when she was in fourth grade, where she revealed her crush on a boy named Dale.
“On Monday, she told everybody. Including Dale, who came up to me at recess and asked me out. But it was joke, and then he started laughing and then all his friends started laughing and then everyone was laughing. And then he pantsed me,” she recalls, joking that the invaluable lesson she learned from it is, “Just to, like, bury your feelings deep within your soul and never let them out.”
